In the 1970s Latin America, life was joyous but treacherous; Dictators and revolutionaries used the kidnapping of wealthy people to create fear and fund their lavish lifestyle. LIMA 3.31 is inspired by the true story of ransom negotiator, Valente Flores, who works for an insurance company which specializes in abductions: a job that tests his wit and survival skills. His task is to negotiate the ransom; and his mission is to rescue the hostages, ALIVE. Valente is meticulous and has always avoided relating directly to the kidnappers. He only shares information with his friend Carlos Garcia. Valente reveals to him that he's got one last mission that will take him into the heart of the jungle, where the Andean guerrillas call home. Betrayal arrives in the jungle as Valente's secret identity is revealed, and as the tables turn,, Valente becomes the victim. Valente will need to use all of his strength and cunning to not only save his client but himself.
